Inclusive Classes
Alex Able Academy offers inclusive preschool and kindergarten classes designed to foster a welcoming and supportive environment where children of all abilities—both with and without disabilities—can learn, play, and grow together. Our classes incorporate co-teaching, individualized instruction, and adapted materials to ensure that every child is actively involved. This approach promotes empathy, social-emotional development, and academic growth for all students in a natural setting.
HighScope Curriculum
Alex Able Academy primarily uses HighScope. The HighScope Curriculum is a research-validated, play-based approach to early childhood education for children from infancy to age 5, emphasizing "active participatory learning." Children construct knowledge by interacting with people, materials, and ideas, all within a structured and predictable routine, supported by intentional and scaffolded teaching. This curriculum focuses on fostering independence, creativity, and problem-solving skills through a comprehensive framework that includes academic content, child assessment, and a thoughtfully designed environment.
